Data Acquisition System for Revitalization of Aircraft EMB 312 T-27 and AT-29 Force Simulator

Abstract

This article aims to describe the data acquisition system for the Revitalization of the Force Simulator (T-27 and AT-29 Aircrafts). The acquisition system consists of an HMI, a controller/acquirer (clp), 4 signal converters (LC4200), and 4 load cells. The System is supported by supervisory software that records the trials, saving them in txt files. In addition, it is possible to view the quantities graphically. This equipment was developed to measure forces and acquire data on cadets and pilots using a force simulator in a joystick format.

Investigation of Aerodynamic of Expand Folding Rudder Separator Delivery from Cavity

Abstract

In the subsonic, transonic and supersonic wind tunnels, the launching test technology of the buried separators in folding rudder separator is studied. In view of the two different folding modes of the Separator rudder surface, two testing techniques are developed for the horizontal folding and vertical folding of the rudder surface, which can ensure the self locking function before and after the rudder surface is unfolded.

Dynamical Model of a Controlled Parawing for Drop Tests Trajectory Reconstruction

Abstract

The work presents the first results of the research activity conducted at University of Padova to develop a remotely controlled parawing system designed to serve as emergency landing device for UAVs. A prototype of the designed system has successfully completed development and has undergone flight testing with airdrop campaigns from an octocopter drone.

Development of an Aerospike Nozzle for a High Performance Green Hybrid Propulsion (Hpghp) System for Small Satellites

The Aerospike Nozzle is well-known for altitude compensating capability; however, the aerospike also presents the advantage of a small form factor at high expansion ratios. Aerospike nozzles can be more than 75% smaller than a conventional nozzle with the same expansion ratio. This feature presents a significant potential for volumetric improvements of SmallSat scale space propulsion systems.

Performance of Fibre-Reinforced Polymer Composite with Ply-Angle Orientations for Structural and Vibratory Applications

Abstract

In designing polymer composites, while their basic mechanical properties are seen as the primary interest for safety concern, their inherent damping values are seen as the secondary for human being comfort, safety and health. However, in todays advanced aerial and land vehicles, comport and health of passengers are as important as their safety. The aim of this work is to investigate the dynamic and also quasi-static behaviors of a glass fibre-reinforced polymer matrix composite, Hexply 913/33%/UD280, to be considered for structural as well as vibratory conditions.
